05 Jun, 2021 | 07:34Most patients of Covid-19 recover completely, regaining their usual strength and immunity after a few weeks of infection. Those having severe pre-existing illness may have problems persisting beyond four weeks in what is termed post-Covid-19 syndrome or ‘long Covid-19’. They may suffer from chronic fatigue to more severe organ dysfunctions. As we are grappling with a relatively new disease, it is too early to tell what Covid-19 survivors are likely to experience in a year’s time.
